We work with communities, professionals and partners across South West London to make cancer care more inclusive and equitable. Through outreach, training, co-design and collaboration, we build understanding, challenge barriers and create practical solutions that help everyone feel seen, supported and informed.
Community engagement
Â
We meet people where they are, in community centres, places of faith, luncheon clubs and local hubs, to start open conversations about cancer, build trust and raise awareness.
Consultation and co-design
We listen to lived experiences and work with communities and professionals to shape training, resources and policy that reflect real needs and voices.
Training and learning
We deliver cultural competence sessions for healthcare professionals, students and organisations to improve understanding and reduce inequalities.
Events and conferences
Our borough-wide cancer conferences and community events bring together professionals, advocates and partners for shared learning, collaboration and action.
Focus groups and steering groups
Our regular focus groups and steering groups bring together community members, advocates and professionals to share insights, test ideas and guide local and regional priorities.
Partnership and collaboration
We connect NHS teams, local authorities, charities and grassroots groups to close gaps, strengthen referral pathways and create joint solutions that reach more people.
Innovation and storytelling
We use creative approaches, including our co-produced films with St George’s Hospital, to challenge myths, inspire reflection and promote culturally sensitive care in professional training.
Support and signposting
We provide tailored information, wellbeing guidance and links to counselling, mentoring and support services for individuals and families affected by cancer.
