Our conferences have become vital spaces for sharing knowledge, breaking taboos

Over the past two years, Can You C Me? has hosted a series of landmark cancer conferences across South West London — in Croydon, Wandsworth, and Kingston.

Each event brought together healthcare professionals, community leaders, and people with lived experience of cancer to discuss barriers, challenge inequalities, and co-design practical solutions for more inclusive care.

These conferences have become vital spaces for sharing knowledge, breaking taboos, and ensuring that Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) voices remain at the heart of cancer awareness, treatment, and support.

Below you can explore our conference reports and evaluations, highlighting the key themes, outcomes, and lasting impact of each event.

Kingston Cancer Conference – 2025

The Kingston event built on our earlier successes, highlighting stories of lived experience, practical steps for improving inclusion in healthcare, and new partnerships with NHS Trusts and universities. It marked another step forward in our mission to make BME representation visible across South West London.
